How to explore the 'Dashboard'

In the Dashboard you can see what is happening with your projects and tasks.

When you first log in to the system, you will land on your Dashboard.

In your Dashboard you can see a personalized, real-time overview of what is happening across your organization: for example, all Projects and recent activity. You can also view your assigned Tasks and any comments requiring your attention. There are helpful visualizations to keep track of workload, pending deadlines and team resource allocation.

The sidebar can be used to navigate around the platform. Click on Dashboard under General to get back to your Dashboard at any time. Alternatively, you can navigate using the breadcrumbs at the top left-hand side of the page you are on.

Clicking on the Create New button, which is located on the top right-hand corner of your Dashboard, allows you to quickly setup new Projects, Knowledge Hubs, Evidence Collections and Search Strategies.

At the top of your Dashboard, you will see three boxed sections that give you an overview of the number of active Projects, Tasks assigned to you and new Comments requiring your attention. Each of these boxes are interactive; click to open.

Active projects – This displays the projects that are in progress. The quick view in the box shows you the number of active projects across the whole team.

Click on the ‘Active Projects’ box to view the Projects Hub. Once opened you will see a table of all the Projects and initiatives within your organization, which you can filter using the keyword search bar or by using the status, priority and tags dropdown filters.

The Progress Tracker visualization calculates the progress of a Project based off the statuses of the active (not cancelled) Tasks within that Project; Tasks ‘in progress’ or ‘in review’ are categorized as pending and ‘completed’ Tasks are shown as resolved.

Further details on exploring the projects can be found in ‘How to Explore the Projects hub’.

My tasks – This shows you your active assignments and deadlines. Click to open to reveal a list of your tasks

Once opened, you can view the title, status, priority, category, phase and assignee of the Tasks. Clicking on the ellipsis in the final ‘Actions’ column gives you the further options to copy task ID, view project and edit task.

At the top of the tasks screen, you can search by title and filter tasks by assignee, status and priority.

New Comments- Here you can view the number of new comments relevant to your Projects and requiring your attention. Click the ‘New Comments’ box to open the Comments page where you can view and manage comments across all Projects.

Once opened you can search the comments by typing in a keyword or using the 3 dropdown filters (type, authors and status). Click the ‘Sort’ button on the right, beneath the filters, to order the comments by newest first or oldest first.

All Projects- This gives you a quick overview of the most recently updated Projects within your organization including their progress (visualized as a Progress Tracker, see above), due date, status, priority and tags. You can click on individual Projects to open and view them in more detail or click ‘View All’ to open the Projects Hub.

Further details can be found in ‘How to explore the Projects Hub’.

Recent Activity - This shows the latest updates throughout the organization. Click on the update you would like to see.

Alternatively, you can click ‘View all’ to open the Organization Audit Trail. This shows the history changes and activities across your organization. To filter, you can search my name or using the entities and actions dropdowns. Under the filters, you have the option to sort the results from newest first to oldest first.

Below the table, you can use the previous and next arrows to navigate through the list of activities. Click on the description of the activity you wish to view in more detail.

Team Task Summary– This pie chart displays the statuses of your organization’s tasks with the total number of tasks in the centre.

Upcoming Deadlines- This displays the upcoming deadlines for Projects and Tasks shared with you. You can change the view by clicking in the ‘This Month’, ‘Next 2 Months’ or ‘Next 3 Months’ buttons.

Resource allocation- This interactive chart shows the team capacity utilization across all Projects with allocation % based on a 40-hour work week capacity. This helps guide workload management and resource allocation across the whole organization.

On the top right-hand corner, you can click the ‘Manage Team’ button, opening the Team Members page.
