There are 2 quick options to get you started on creating a project.
Firstly, from the main dashboard, you can use the navigation list on the left-hand side to click on ‘Projects hub’ to open the section. From here, click on the ‘+ Create project’ button on the top right-hand side of the screen.
The other option from the main dashboard is to click on the button ‘+ Create New’, which is located on the top right-hand corner of the screen. Scroll down to the section ‘New project’.
Both options lead you to the ‘Create new project’ page. You are in control of how you would like to create your project. Choose to start from scratch or use a pre-built template.
Whether you choose to start from scratch or use a prebuilt template, the project form follows the same layout and sections. Work your way from the top of the page to the bottom.
Project Details
Name & Description - Use a clear title and descriptive project objectives and scope for the description.
Status & Priority - Using the options in the dropdown menu, select the status (Planning, Active, Completed, Archived) and then the next dropdown for the Priority (High, Medium, Low).
Tags - Select a pre-existing tag or create a new tag.
Project ID - It is optional to enter a project ID.
Dates – Using the calendar, you can set the key dates for the project. To pick a date, click on the calendar icon that is in each section.
Important – Once each section has been completed, please click the ‘Create Project’ button, which is at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, if you have decided not to continue with the project, you have the option of clicking the cancel button.
You will then be able to see this in the main Dashboard; this gives a real-time overview of active projects, allocated tasks, pending deadlines and team resource allocations.
