How to Explore Knowledge Hub

This is your knowledge hub, where all your project resources live. Here, you can search for and select all the knowledge bases you will need for specific projects, create new knowledge bases or edit information about existing knowledge bases.

In the knowledge hub, you have a comprehensive library of data and evidence on a specific therapy area or topic, from which you can manage your knowledge bases.

Once you have clicked to view, you can see in this section the data linked to this knowledge hub.

There are 3 interactive headings: Overview, Explore and Search Strategies.

Overview
This is an overview of the content in this chosen knowledge hub (Clinical Trials, OpenAlex, Search Strategies & Total Records).

Explore

This is where you can browse records from the connected search strategies with pagination support. Use the dropdown to choose and open.

In the Filter section, you can search within the results (search with keywords, sort by using the dropdown menus, Publication Year, Work Types, Citation Count & Languages)

The right-hand side shows the results; each is interactive and can be clicked to open. Using the View buttons that are found at the top right-hand side of the page, you are able to choose how you would like the results to be displayed. Select between Card View, Table View and Chart View.

Inside the Explore Knowledge Base page, you have the option to create an Evidence Collection from the Knowledge base with the search strategies you have already pre-selected. Click the button to open (top right-hand corner).

Once open, your pre-selected search strategies are visible in the top section, Creating from Knowledge Base. For details of how to complete the 5-step form, see How to Create an Evidence Collection.

Search Strategies - this shows a list of data sources. Click ‘View Records’ to open.

On each page in the Knowledge hub, you can edit a knowledge base by clicking the ‘edit icon’ at the top right-hand corner.

In the Edit Knowledge Base form, you can update the details and configuration of the chosen knowledge base.

In the Basic Information, you can update the Name and Description.

In the Tags section, using the dropdown, you can deselect and/or create new tags. Click the ‘X’ to quickly remove a pre-existing tag.

In the Search Strategies section of the page, you can select (by ticking the box next to each heading) which search strategies to include in this knowledge hub. You can filter these results with a name or description search of the strategies.

To complete the edit form, click the Save button, or if you have decided not to continue, click the Cancel button. These buttons can be found at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
